SUYO Origins Cocktail Competition Terms & Conditions

Thank you for your interest in the SUYO Origins Boston Cocktail Competition.
By submitting an entry, you agree to the following terms:

Eligibility:
Entrants must be 21 or older.
Entrants must live in Massachusetts or Rhode Island and currently work at a bar or restaurant.
Entrants must be available for an in person tasting visit during the finalist selection period.
Entrants must be available to compete in Boston on September 21, 2026, if selected as a finalist.
Entrants must be legally able to travel to Peru if selected as the winner.

Entry Requirements:
Entries must be submitted between August 3 and August 28, 2026.
Entries must be original cocktail recipes created by the entrant.
Entries must feature SUYO as the primary spirit (1.5oz).
Cocktails must be replicable using ingredients that are reasonably accessible to bars and restaurants.
Entrants must be able to prepare the cocktail in person for the SUYO team during a bar visit.
Only one entry may be submitted per person.

Judging Criteria:
Entries and finalist presentations will be evaluated using the following criteria:

Connection to Origins: 30%
Storytelling: 25%
Flavor: 20%
Creativity: 15%
Appearance: 10%

The SUYO team may also consider whether the cocktail can be consistently replicated in a bar setting.

Finalist Selection:

Up to eight finalists will be selected by the SUYO team based on the judging criteria listed above.Selected finalists will be contacted directly before the competition.
Finalists must confirm their availability by the deadline provided by SUYO.
If a selected finalist is unable to participate, SUYO may invite an alternate entrant.

Competition Day:
Finalists will prepare and present their cocktails live for a panel of judges in Boston on September 21, 2026.
Finalists will be responsible for providing any specialty ingredients, garnishes, or equipment required to prepare their cocktail unless otherwise arranged with SUYO.
Finalist presentations will be judged according to the criteria and weighting listed above.
Judges’ decisions are final.

Prize:
The first place winner will join SUYO on a trip to Peru.
Travel dates, itinerary, accommodations, and additional conditions will be coordinated directly with the winner.
The winner must have a valid passport and any other documents required for international travel.
The prize is nontransferable and may not be exchanged for cash.

Use of Content:
By entering, you give SUYO permission to photograph, film, reproduce, and share your cocktail, recipe, story, name, likeness, and bar affiliation in content and materials related to the competition and the SUYO brand.

Additional Terms:
SUYO reserves the right to adjust the competition timeline, format, location, finalist count, or other details if needed.
SUYO may disqualify any entry or entrant that does not meet these requirements or provides inaccurate information.
SUYO is not responsible for incomplete, late, lost, or incorrectly submitted entries.
